The Guild

The Guild, formerly known as the “Women’s Guild of St Paul’s Church Estoril” was formed in 1958. At that time the Women’s Guild listed its activities as church watching, looking after the church linen, the altar flowers and the kneelers.  Inevitably, fund-raising was also on the list.... The main role of the Guild has essentially remained the same since 1958: working, sometimes behind the scenes, as invaluable assistance to the smooth running of the churches. A Guild member says: The  Guild is involved in many Church activities: ■ Welcoming People ■ Coffee & Snacks after Church ■ Bake Sales ■ Christmas Fair ■ Harvest Supper ■ Books & Card Sales ■ Card-Making ■ Choir ■ Social Evenings with Music & Supper           The current officers are: Chairman ► Barbara Gray Secretary ► Anne Godden Treasurer ► Millie Airoldi
Any congregation member is welcome to come along to a monthly meeting, have a coffee with us, meet others, and help us to think of ways to make St Paul's and St. George's welcoming and functional for worship and events. We welcome everybody's support and ideas.
Meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of every month at 11am, but the weekly Church Notices should be checked for any change of date.
