Sunday School for ages 4 -17

Youth Education takes place every Sunday at both churches from September 16 through mid-July. Children leave the church during the first hymn and return for Holy Communion. They rejoin their class immediately after communion, and are dismissed afterwards to their parent or guardian.

We discuss one Bible story or principle each week. Children get to do crafts, skits, and learn songs memory verses each week. Our goal is to make every class include fun and adventure! And snacks!

Our teachers are trained and experienced, and teach in pairs. The children are divided into a younger class (4-8) and an older class (9 and up) to receive age appropriate teaching.  We also have regular social events for the children, with movie nights, pizza nights, picnics, and other outings.

We use the Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones for the younger children, and the NIV Adventure Bible for the teens.

The Greater Lisbon Chaplaincy which comprises St. George’s, St. Paul’s and our mission in Caldas da Rainha is a participating chaplaincy and compliant with Safeguarding rules.
